Amirtha Ravindranath, the dynamic founder of Kiddos Paradise Pre-school, is an inspiring entrepreneur who transformed her passion for education into a thriving business. Born and raised in Chennai, Amirtha holds an MA and MPhil in English Literature, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Media and Journalism. Her illustrious career began as a lecturer and culminated in a position as a professor and coordinator in the Department of Journalism and Mass Media at a reputed Bangalore college. Despite her success in academia, Amirtha was determined to channel her love for Early Childhood Education into a meaningful venture.
In 2013, at the age of 46, Amirtha took the leap to establish Kiddos Paradise in Bangalore’s Vijayanagar. With an initial investment of ₹20 lakhs, she built an institution that not only meets but exceeds parental expectations, providing a strong foundation for children aged 1–6 years. Today, with a turnover of ₹40 lakhs, the preschool stands as a testament to her vision, resilience, and dedication.
Amirtha’s approach combines the Montessori and Playway methods, inspired by Maria Montessori’s philosophy, creating a nurturing and engaging environment. Her leadership, supported by a team of experienced staff, has been the cornerstone of Kiddos Paradise’s success. Counseling parents during admissions and aligning the school’s goals with their expectations are part of her unique approach.
Through her entrepreneurial journey, Amirtha has faced challenges with determination. Her family’s support has been instrumental—her daughter, a food scientist, advises on nutritional planning, while her son-in-law, an IT professional, offers strategic guidance. Amirtha’s mantra of continuous learning and staying updated has helped her stay ahead in the competitive preschool market.
Looking to the future, Amirtha plans to open a second branch and offer franchise opportunities to aspiring educators. Her advice to budding entrepreneurs is simple yet profound: pursue your passion, love what you do, and equip yourself with the right skills.
