For Tanvir Hussain, the journey to founding Inspire Inside Interior Design in 2015 was inspired by his deep passion for art, architecture, and the power of design to enhance human experiences. His love for designing spaces that go beyond just their aesthetic appeal led him to create a firm that focuses on transforming the way people live, work, and interact within their environments.

Tanvir’s fascination with design began in his youth, where he was always captivated by how different spaces, whether a cozy home or a monumental building, could stir emotions and shape experiences. His early interest in reading design magazines further fueled his passion, allowing him to explore the intricacies of interior design and architecture.

“I realized early on that my perspective on design was unique, and I felt a deep calling to bring that vision to life,” Tanvir reflects. This realization, combined with his desire to make a meaningful impact, led him to open Inspire Inside Interior Design. Today, Tanvir leads a talented team of 35 professionals, with skilled craftsmen and designers coming together to create spaces that blend functionality, beauty, and emotional depth.

 

Since its inception in 2015, Inspire Inside has grown into a thriving interior design firm, completing over 25 residential projects and many high-profile, out-of-the-box assignments such as music studios, rooftop gardens, container homes, and even temples and restaurants.

Tanvir’s signature approach is a human-centered design philosophy. “We focus on creating spaces that not only look good but also feel good, contributing to the well-being of the people who live and work there,” he says. Specializing in understated luxury and architectural precision, his team delivers high-end residential spaces, bungalows, and commercial projects that reflect the personality and lifestyle of each client while maintaining a balance of beauty and practicality.

Like many entrepreneurs, Tanvir faced significant challenges when he first started his business. The demanding nature of interior design—long hours, tight deadlines, and the pressure to deliver perfection—often led to burnout. “Managing multiple projects and staying energized was difficult,” he admits. Additionally, clients sometimes had big dreams but limited budgets, which meant Tanvir had to creatively balance design quality with financial constraints.

Yet, Tanvir’s love for design and determination to deliver exceptional spaces helped him navigate these struggles. He found ways to manage client expectations, balance creative ambition with budget realities, and maintain high standards for every project.

 

At Inspire Inside, Tanvir’s team works on a diverse array of projects, from luxurious high-end residential spaces to more unique undertakings like music studios, rooftop designs, container homes, and much more. What makes Tanvir’s designs stand out is his ability to combine elegance with practicality. “We don’t just focus on how a space looks; we design spaces that enhance the lives of those who live in them,” he says.

For Tanvir, interior design is about much more than creating a beautiful space; it’s about building strong, long-lasting relationships with clients. “Understanding our clients’ needs, preferences, and lifestyle is at the core of what we do,” he says. Among the many memorable projects Tanvir has worked on, the design of a residential space for Sourav Das and Anindita Poddar at Siddha Galaxia stands out. Tanvir and Sourav developed a close understanding of each other’s design language, resulting in a sophisticated yet personalized design. Another significant project was a container resort with a glass house for Dr. Debb Basu, blending modern design with natural elements. Tanvir’s ability to create one-of-a-kind spaces that leave a lasting impact is evident in every project he takes on.

Starting his own business gave Tanvir the freedom and creative control he craved. “Being able to bring my vision to life and create spaces that enhance people’s lives is incredibly fulfilling,” he says. While the entrepreneurial journey has not been without its challenges, including managing a diverse team and balancing multiple projects, Tanvir’s extroverted personality and strong communication skills have been key to building relationships with clients and inspiring his team.

“Building a loyal, motivated team is essential for any business to succeed. I make sure we have a fun, collaborative work environment where everyone feels valued,” he explains.

For aspiring designers, Tanvir’s advice is simple: “Stay true to your vision, embrace constant learning, and enjoy the process. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and every project is a chance to make a difference in someone’s life.”
