For many, finance is a maze of jargon and numbers. For Anurag Agarwal, it’s a language everyone can learn—with the right guide. At 35, as the founder of Anurag Agarwal Classes, he has made it his mission to demystify finance and build financial literacy among students and young professionals.
Anurag’s career began far from the classroom. With a BCOM, CA, and CFA, he built a successful corporate profile in audit, due diligence, and fundraising. Yet, after eight years, he realized that while the finance industry was thriving, a crucial gap remained—students struggled not because they lacked ability, but because they lacked guidance that made sense in the real world. That realization led to a life-changing decision: leaving behind a high-paying corporate role to pursue his true calling—teaching.
Since 2021, Anurag has focused on CFA coaching, specializing in investments, risk, and ethics. His teaching style is a blend of clarity, relevance, and a touch of humor—turning intimidating formulas into relatable ideas. He connects with students from varied backgrounds, ensuring even those with no prior exposure to finance feel confident. “Finance isn’t scary,” he says. “It’s just another language—and I’m here to help students speak it fluently.”
The journey wasn’t without obstacles. Adjusting from corporate speed to the patience education demands was challenging. Financial uncertainty in the early days tested his resilience, but the steadfast support of his wife and the values instilled by his father—dedication, humility, and belief in knowledge—kept him focused.
Anurag’s work goes beyond exam prep. He believes education reform must prioritize practical, skill-based learning, financial literacy, and value-driven education. He also advocates for stronger teacher training and the use of technology to reach underserved communities.
For aspiring educators, his advice is simple yet profound: “Master your subject, but never forget your student. Teach to inspire, not just to inform. That’s when real change happens.”
While he may not measure success through awards, his true achievements are the countless students across countries who now approach finance with confidence, curiosity, and clarity. In every class, Anurag Agarwal isn’t just teaching finance—he’s shaping a mindset for a lifetime.
