TrucksUp: Empowering India’s Truck Owners Through Technology and Trust

India’s logistics sector moves the nation, yet the people who power it—small truck owners and drivers—have long operated in an ecosystem defined by uncertainty. Information gaps, dependency on middlemen, and fragmented services have limited profitability and predictability for fleet owners. TrucksUp, founded by Sarthak Elwadhi, was created to address this imbalance by placing technology, transparency, and decision-making power directly into the hands of truckers.

Sarthak’s exposure to logistics began early, shaped by experiences across both Indian and international markets. This contrast revealed a clear gap—while India had scale and entrepreneurial energy, it lacked structured information systems for its trucking community. During his college years, this insight matured into a conviction that technology could simplify operations for small fleet owners who were otherwise excluded from digital tools.

The idea of TrucksUp was not built in isolation. Before formal launch, Sarthak spent extensive time on highways, logistics hubs, and roadside stops, engaging directly with truck owners and drivers. These conversations highlighted a recurring issue—truckers were not short of work, but short of visibility. They lacked access to reliable loads, transparent pricing, and integrated services that could reduce downtime and operational stress.

Launched in 2022, TrucksUp was designed as a comprehensive digital ecosystem tailored specifically for single-truck owners and small fleets. The platform integrates load discovery with essential value-added services such as FASTag, fuel cards, GPS tracking, insurance, financing, SIM-based tracking, and even truck buying and selling. By consolidating these services into one platform, TrucksUp eliminates fragmentation and simplifies daily decision-making.

The impact has been significant. With over 4 lakh downloads, 45,000+ monthly active users, and partnerships with 21+ service providers, TrucksUp has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing trucking platforms. Its solutions help reduce empty miles, improve asset utilisation, and create predictable income streams for truck owners—outcomes that directly strengthen the national supply chain.

Building TrucksUp was not without challenges. Introducing technology into a traditionally conservative industry required persistence and trust-building. Many truck owners were initially hesitant to adopt digital tools, while hiring talent with both logistics and technology expertise proved difficult. Sarthak addressed these challenges by staying deeply involved on the ground and investing heavily in training and onboarding.

These early struggles shaped his leadership philosophy. Sarthak believes that technology must adapt to users, not the other way around. Listening closely to truckers, iterating based on feedback, and delivering practical solutions became core principles. His ability to balance field-level engagement with strategic growth planning continues to define TrucksUp’s evolution.

Inspiration for Sarthak comes from family values rooted in integrity and resilience. Observing his father and uncle navigate business with discipline and ethics reinforced his belief that trust compounds faster than capital. This mindset is embedded within TrucksUp’s culture, where long-term relationships take precedence over short-term gains.

Looking ahead, TrucksUp is focused on becoming India’s leading FTL loadboard and a comprehensive trucking services platform. Future expansions include driver placement solutions, roadside assistance, GNSS-enabled FASTag systems, and full lifecycle management for trucks. The vision is to create an end-to-end ecosystem that supports truck owners at every stage of their journey.

Industry recognition through awards such as the International Icons of Excellence Award 2023, Best Brand 2024, and Logistics Shakti 2024 reflects the platform’s growing influence. For Sarthak Elwadhi, however, success is defined by scale with impact—measured by how many truck owners gain control, confidence, and clarity in their operations.

Through TrucksUp, Sarthak continues to build more than a platform. He is helping formalise India’s trucking backbone—one informed decision at a time.
