With passion as her compass and innovation as her tool, Sudipta Kesar is redefining how English is taught and learned.
For Sudipta Kesar, English has always been more than a subject—it’s a skill that can open doors, create opportunities, and change the trajectory of a life. But for too many learners, years of formal education have left them with grammar rules but no confidence. It’s this gap that inspired her to create Sudipta’s English Academy in April 2023, a space designed to make learning English truly transformative.
Sudipta’s fascination with the language began early, nurtured by films, songs, and books. Yet, she understood the frustration of learners who could read and write in English but struggled to speak it naturally. Determined to change this, she earned a Master’s Level Certification in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the London College of Teachers and Trainers and began building an academy that would break away from outdated teaching norms.
Her classes are anything but ordinary. Lessons often begin at 8 PM, ideal for working professionals. Small groups ensure individual attention, while interactive exercises replace mechanical memorisation. Each session focuses on practical application—helping learners use English with ease in real-world situations. “Fluency is not about speed,” she says, “it’s about confidence, clarity, and connection.”
The journey was not without its tests. Many students arrived expecting instant results. Instead of offering unrealistic promises, Sudipta guided them to embrace steady, consistent learning. Drawing from her own challenges as a language learner, she created a supportive environment where mistakes were part of the process, not something to fear.
From the very beginning, professionalism was a priority. She invested in tools like pen tablets, high-quality cameras, and studio lighting to ensure online sessions felt engaging and premium. Her active presence on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Google helped her reach learners across regions and backgrounds.
The academy’s timing has been crucial. In a job market where poor communication skills can limit opportunities, Sudipta’s training has helped learners step into interviews, meetings, and public speaking engagements with confidence.
Recognition soon followed. In 2024, she received the India Excellence Award for Outstanding Excellence in English Language Education, an acknowledgment that reinforced her mission. Looking ahead, Sudipta plans to expand her offerings into personality development, public speaking, and accent training, turning her academy into a complete growth platform.
At its heart, Sudipta’s English Academy is a reflection of its founder’s belief that language is power. And with every class, Sudipta isn’t just teaching English—she’s helping people claim their voice, their confidence, and their future.
