Mr. Mahesh Parameswaran Nair – Founder, (Hold On Pain Ends)
Instead of managing programming languages and algorithm analysis, this IT Engineer is all set to bring in smiles to the underprivileged through his charitable work in the society.
Known for his humanitarian work, this IT Engineer cum Philanthropist is a living example of how one can inspire the society through his charitable work. Mahesh P Nair has been a motivational speaker besides running his NGO, which is into providing basic necessities in life like food, dress, shelter, education, treatment and much more to the homeless and needy. With just 6 years into this philanthropic work, he has already won a lot of accolades and recognitions from several quarters. He travels extensively across the country during his free time, just to help the poor and needy – such is his dedication and perseverance.
It is Mother Teresa and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who inspires him to do something different and meaningful in this short life. It wasn’t easy to start this charitable work, but his strong determination and self-belief have made him successful. Convincing people around him wasn’t easy. Crowd funding and time management was crucial. Balancing between work life and charity life didn’t came as a cake walk either. However, his passion for travelling helped him to achieve the kind of charitable work he wanted to pursue.
With an aim to make India a developed nation from a developing country, Mahesh wanted to improve basic lifestyle of commoners. He feels
“It’s not only infrastructure and economy that can help us build a developed country, but also providing basic necessities of life is of prime importance. Even though we speak of fundamental rights of constitution still there are many who are deprived of it.”
Change is necessary and he wants to take the first step to contribute in whatever way he can. Still there are many homeless under flyovers and bridges that we construct, they also are deprived of basic education. This should change and HOPE is trying to bring in new hopes.
Mahesh has always tried to be himself and believed in his capabilities. He overcame his struggles with all zeal and made a difference. He couldn’t stand others’ suffering and hence created a group of likeminded youngsters who fought for a common cause to end poverty and sufferings of the underprivileged. He rightly admits that
“We can’t impress this entire Universe but still we could be a ripple or wave in an Ocean full of water. Let’s be the light in darkness.”
He always wanted to be the ears which hears for helpless, be the voice which roars for the neglected, be the heart which would win hearts, and be the star of your own life by doing something good and worthy.
