A successful owner of an eCommerce website for interior designs, Manas Ranjan Badajena describes his story as a discovery towards home. Having worked in an IT company for 12 hours did not provide him with happiness, due to which he took the risk of leaving his job and started an eCommerce website dedicated to interior designs.

“Following your heart should be the utmost priority of everyone. Working for 24 hours may provide you with the wealth that you desire, but it won’t bring you the happiness, which you get by following your heart.”

When asked about the ideas and inspiration, Manas gave the credit to his father, who had a furniture shop in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. He has seen his father handling furniture, creating new designs, and delivering them to the customers. The art of creating and designing new furniture gave Manas a boost, which his job as a project manager in the IT company could not provide.

Though leaving the job was a high risk, but by starting the website, Manas knew that the risk was worth taking. The hardships which he faced in the IT company gave him the idea of starting his own website and the tricks and tips as to how he could manage the website efficiently. His knowledge in the field of IT was a plus point, which helped him in successfully establishing his own website Houzlook.
