Wooing clients through minimalistic designs and on-time project delivery

Anand Y Aknoji – Founder, Cube Design Studio

His passion towards architecture & to have the possibility of exploring his potential to the fullest led to the starting up of his own business in 2015. Along this journey of entrepreneurship, Anand realised that there is ample opportunity to grow & uplift the society through offering employment. Hence, starting Cube Design Studio, just not only opened up business opportunities for himself but directly or indirectly opened up floodgates of employment options for others, and that has been highly encouraging. It also uplifts the society.

According to Anand Y Aknoji, founder of Cube Design Studio,

“From my growing days I have always been keen towards detailing, exploring materials due to my family business in furniture & that created a passion towards architecture. Further to have a freedom to explore architecture to the fullest led to the thought of starting my own firm.”

Since inception, Cube Design Studio has been working closely with its clients to understand their lifestyle and emotions linked with the living spaces, and through their design concepts have been offering cosy spaces that has been talk-of-the-town.

Creating functional architectural spaces through minimalistic design has been his forte, and with on-time delivery they have a competitive edge in the market place. With high competition around, positive word-of-mouth helps them to increase their client base. As a specialist in interior design & décor, the firm takes up end to end project and delivers it to complete satisfaction of the client. While the aim is to provide economical interior solutions, uniqueness in every project is something which the team works upon in close coordination with client. To give the best output it is always important to be customer centric and understand their taste and style.

Spanish architecture, Santiago Calatrava, has been greatest influencer to Anand’s designs. His landmark projects are a wonder by itself and challenges the best out of any designer. It’s ‘Scarlett Homes’ which will always be close to Anand’s heart, since it was the first project commissioned to Cube Design Studio.

Anand’s family business was into furniture, which was lucrative but he didn’t want to pursue either. He wanted to nurture his passion into designing and architecture. He felt that his creativity and innovations can be best showcased through his architectural venture, rather than anything else. However, it was during his growing up years, after those school hours he used to spend time at his family furniture workshop. This immensely helped him in gaining deep knowledge about the core material & helped him develop a keen eye towards detailing. He thinks,

“I believe we can grow higher as a community & not alone. Personally, finding joy in helping others has helped me to create platforms & support the ones around me in the profession or otherwise.”

As a new age entrepreneur, Anand feels, client psychology plays a major role in creating usable & functional spaces. Hence, it stands as a priority in any design. Also, sustainable building is a must in today’s generation & for the betterment of the planet. The need to incorporate the aspect of sustainability & mindfulness in present designs will help in decreasing carbon footprint. To all new comers, he advices to be compassionate and consistent, this will take them to newer heights in this line of business.
