This youth below thirty has enough reasons to celebrate as he gets inner peace in helping the poor of this country through his NGO.
At the age of 28, when most of the youths strive to build a career of their choice, this youth from Vadodara is all set to serve the needy through his NGO – Helping Hands Foundation. A true philanthropist, Arjun Rameshchandra Goverdhan, the founder of Helping Hands Foundation, is a living example of how one can inspire the society through his charitable work. For last 5 years, he has been selflessly working for the slum children and the poor, thereby leading by an example to the future generation of this country.

As a MHRM graduate from MS University in Vadodara, Arjun started his NGO with just 4 volunteers which has now grown to 500 plus volunteers, who tirelessly work for the under privileged. His NGO, which is into providing basic necessities in life like food, dress, shelter, education, treatment and much more to the homeless and needy.
Being inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s work, Arjun has own innumerable accolades for his charitable work and as a humble human being he credits it to the volunteers and supporters who work with him for the same cause. A total of almost 16 awards adorns his achievement in his last five years of work. He has been conferred “Asia Award 2019” along with “Real Heroes of Vadodara 2019” to name a few.

He believes in positivity and wants to spread love and care through his service. Though initial days there was some financial hardships, but as he ignored them and went ahead, things became smoother with sponsorships pouring in. Just to make his NGO a big one and serve the needy, Arjun has sacrificed a lot of personal aspirations and dreams, but end of the day he is satisfied to help the poor.

With an aim to make India a developed nation from a developing country, Arjun wants to improve basic lifestyle of commoners. And with this objective he and his NGO selflessly fight for a common cause to end poverty and sufferings of the underprivileged. When asked how it all started, Arjun explains “During my MHRM course in Faculty of Social Work, I visited rural parts of India and accompanied many NGOs and figured out that, there are so many needy who wants our help and that’s when I decided to jump into this noble cause.”

Today when every youth is running after a successfully career yet are unhappy with it, Arjun happily leads a satisfactory career which gives him inner peace. Serving mankind is next to serving God. And by this act of his, he becomes a role model for today’s youth.
