Jayita Sengupta is a passionate and successful woman entrepreneur who can be a strong inspiration for many aspiring ladies!
Jayita Sengupta is the name behind ‘TreisTek’ – an Engineering and GIS solution provider firm. Carrying an MBA degree in Marketing and Brand Management with over 12+ years of enterprise experience while enabling businesses to achieve its growth, innovation and performance excellence goals, her core expertise lies in strategic planning, program management, enterprise quality and business process optimization.
She strongly follows the thumb rule of business- Marketing, Sales and Development teams must work collaboratively to enrich any organization.
Having hands-on experience with diverse industries like IT, Media, Telecom and Engineering- working cross functionally with R&D; she is adept in Design, Implementation, Sales, Support Services, Finance and HR; which makes her professional journey enriching and beneficial to any organization. Being responsible for new innovations, she currently heads ‘Projects & Marketing’ in her company and is presently working on next Gen Automation tools. She bears a core vision of looking deeper at cross-functional integration.
Earning well for few years, she ended up realizing that she cannot continue building other’s dreams or confine herself within a shell! One day, while she was having a cup of tea with Arindam, both came up with an idea of commencing ‘TreisTek’, envisioning making a difference. Prompted to find her calling, Jayita soon realized that she could offer the perspective, structure, support, guidance and honesty that others needed to trigger big transitions in their lives.
Jayita always carried a desire to work with others to help them move forward in a profound way in their lives.
Jayita is highly inspired by the success story of ‘Kiran Mazumdar Shaw’- the chairperson of leading Indian Biotech company- ‘Biocon’, who broke stereotypes by being a woman entrepreneur back in 1978 when women were not perceived as good entrepreneurs, and moreover, biotechnology was unheard as an industry.
Being a woman entrepreneur, Jayita too had to face some challenges like maintaining work-life balance, defying social expectations and coping up with a fear of failure, but she channeled through all of them like a pro.
At the work front, the major challenges for ‘TreisTek’ had been to maintain quality, which they overcome by building their own in-house quality team. The pricing issues had also knocked their door where in the clients didn’t have the desired budget. In such situations, the team rather chose to balance the cost against profit with an intention of maintaining harmonious relations with the clients thereby delivering quality services. Matching up with ‘Turn around Time’ had also been a challenge for them, but they ensured imparting quality in-house training for the candidates to get them ready for future projects.
Her success mantra is – “Believe in yourself and own your own success”, which motivates her to work harder and achieve higher results.
Leaving behind her 15 years of successful corporate career had been a tough choice to make! Entering a new terrain with uncertainties, knowing the chances of success rate being lower, she risked her career and followed her passion. Not having an engineering background, she also put in great efforts to understand its technicalities. As urbanization and technology advancement is scaling exponentially, the need for engineering solutions made her realize its escalating scope. As currently, almost every country is stepping into 3D Smart City Modelling, the top notch technologies are in demand and the scope of engineering solutions is infinite, and this way ‘TreisTek’ came into existence.
Jayita, who has been nominated for “Fastest growing brand/leader 2019-20” by ‘AsiaOne Magazine’, reflects, “Self-belief is everything”. And when she commits to something, she never gives up!
Her undying hunger to learn and explore, has also cultivated in her feelings of empathy, self awareness, managing her emotions and harnessing social skills. Her patience is her forte’ and she believes the world is destined only for those who adopt the path of patience in adverse circumstances.
She enjoys every single effort put into finishing a job and never looks back once she initiates a task she is passionate about.
