S Samesh – Chief Designer & CEO, The Interior Saga

The Interior Saga (www.theinteriorsaga.com)  is a Hyderabad based interior designing firm that is made up of a talented group of professionals who are fully committed to providing each client with the space they truly need. Whether it’s designing a new office or a bathroom, they listen to each of their clients in order to fully understand what they need, whether it is comfort, functionality, or a combination of both. They are dedicated in helping clients fall in love with their space. Every corner for creative possibilities is explored in order to come up with the best use of existing dimensions. During the process, they work closely with each client, every step of the way to make sure that their creations match their tastes and lifestyle.

This particular design studio was founded by S Samesh in 2018, who is an Interior B Design graduate and formed his venture with a mission to create thoughtful, beautiful interiors that would meet every client’s aesthetic, functional, and economic goals while honouring and celebrating the buildings that contain them. Over the past few years, their practice has pioneered a contemporary approach to architecture & design through a strikingly wide range of work, from commercial spaces, residential spaces, workplaces to private houses and product design. However, providing luxury interiors at affordable budget has been the forte of The Interior Saga.

Samesh’s urge to turn designs into reality made him be an entrepreneur in this field. He always wanted to contribute in a creative field and also chose this career because it is something he is very passionate about, where there are opportunities to learn new skills and develop existing ones, and a chance for him to eventually progress and gain fame. However, he feels that

“Being an entrepreneur involves a lot of uncertainty. You’ll deal with a general sense of ambiguity regarding your business’ chance of success. I started to gain trust of people by sharing my ideology through designs followed by successful execution.”

To start one’s own business one has to have few clarities, like determining what services will be on offer. As an architect & interior designer, one needs to make a list of specific deliverables like design palette, mood boards, detailing drawings, 3D renderings, detailed notes, focus on style & specialty, etc. All have their own style, and tend to excel within that perimeter. If you specialize in mid-century modern style or rustic style or traditional style, that is what you should focus on. Building a portfolio is very crucial.

Interior design in today’s world is no longer used merely by homeowners but has also become a central point of contention in commercial spaces, such as workspace, healthcare buildings, and public areas. Hence the future is bright. A good interior actually boosts both mental and physical health & helps undertake sustainable living. It is the way of expressing oneself and get along with the community.

Samesh feels that like every design is different, every colour and every concept, the psychology of every client is also different. Listening to them, acknowledge what they want is fundamental, this is essentially the first step in a productive working relationship. Clients can be less ‘visual’ in their communication; so, trying to assist in being an extension of their arm: sketching and giving an array of images to prompt their thoughts is the job of interior designer. As important are the concepts and designs in a project, understanding the client is also the crucial key factor in order to complete a project successfully.

Over last few years, Samesh’s hard work has been recognised and duly rewarded. He has been identified as the “Upcoming and promising interior design firm in Telangana, 2021 by Architecture and Interior Excellence Awards & Conference, he is the 2019 winner of “Interiyour Annual show” in Hyderabad, and a proud organizing committee member and associate member of IIID-HRC.
