His Personal Life
Dr. Monojit has been a brilliant student all his life. Being exceptional in academics has never been new to him. All the life, he has completed most of his major exams with first division marks. He completed his secondary equivalent exam and higher secondary equivalent from Barrackpur Government high school, his bachelor’s degree from Rahara RKMVC College, his post-graduation from University College of science and technology, Rajabazar (CU), and his doctoral degree from the Indian Association for the cultivation of science under Jadavpur University.
His primary specialization is in the field of coordination chemistry. His achievements do not end there. He qualified for the CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test both for JRF and lectureship back in 1996. He even secured an All India rank of one hundred and twenty-three in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, also in 2016.
His Professional Life
His professional life is full of glory too. His post-doctoral work was done in the field of Bioinorganic chemistry centered on the Jalangi River. He has been teaching at reputable colleges for the past twenty years. He not only mentors and guides undergraduate students but also helps postgraduate students to succeed.
He serves on the Governing body of several reputable colleges like Nabadwip Vidyasagar College, Naihati Rishi Bankim Chandra College, Chapra Bangalji Mahavidyalay. Currently, he also the president of the governing body of Krishnagar Women’s’ College and Barrackpore Rastraguru Surendranath College.
His several articles have been published in reputed international journals and magazines. As a researcher and a scientist, he is both revered and venerated all around the globe. His contributions to the global progress of chemistry as a discipline are unparalleled. He has even presented his views through the medium of lectures and countless seminars and workshops all around the world. He is a scholar in the truest sense of the term.
His accolade does not end here. Among the countless awards he has received over the years, notable are Lifetime Achiever Award 2019 by the Indian Academic Researchers Association, Educational Leadership Award, 2nd February 2020 by Commonwealth Vocational University, Kingdom of Tonga, Scientist of The Year 2019 Award by the International Foundation for Environment and Ecology and Education World Grand Jury Award 2020-21 for EXTRAORDINARY LEADERSHIP, ALL INDIA RANK 6
